Storage Unit Sizes & Options

We offer multiple unit sizes to fit any need. Small units (5x5 or 5x10) hold about 1 room of belongings including boxes, small furniture, and seasonal items. Medium units (10x10 or 10x15) accommodate 2-3 rooms or a small apartment's contents. Large units (10x20 or 10x30) fit entire 3-4 bedroom homes with all furniture and boxes.

Our facilities include drive-up access for easy loading, free use of carts and dollies, and well-lit, wide hallways.

We serve the entire Western Canada region with facilities in major cities throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba. Common storage scenarios include gap between move-out and move-in dates, long-distance moves with flexible delivery, downsizing with items for family, seasonal storage for RVs and boats, and business inventory or document storage.

Storage Solutions FAQs

Storage costs vary by unit size and location. Small units (5x5) typically cost $80-$120 per month, medium units (10x10) cost $150-$250 per month, and large units (10x20) cost $250-$400 per month. Climate control is included in all our units. We require first month's rent plus a refundable security deposit. There are no long-term contracts - rent month-to-month. Moving services to/from storage are quoted separately based on distance and labor required.
Our facilities have comprehensive security including 24/7 video surveillance covering all entry points and hallways, individual unit alarms that trigger if your unit is accessed, controlled access with unique personal codes (no keys to lose or copy), on-site management during business hours, perimeter fencing with controlled vehicle gates, and motion-sensor lighting throughout. We provide certificates of security features for insurance purposes. Many insurance companies offer discounts for storage at facilities meeting these security standards.
In Western Canada, yes! Temperature extremes from -40°C winters to 30°C+ summers can damage furniture (wood warps and cracks), electronics (condensation causes corrosion), documents and photos (yellow and deteriorate), leather and fabrics (dry out and crack), and musical instruments (wood and glue fail). Climate control maintains 55-80°F and proper humidity year-round. While it costs slightly more than non-climate units, it prevents expensive damage. We recommend climate control for any storage over 30 days.
As a general guide: 5x5 (closet size) holds about 1 room or 10-15 boxes plus small items, 5x10 holds 1 bedroom apartment or 20-25 boxes plus furniture, 10x10 holds 2 bedroom apartment or 35-40 boxes plus furniture, 10x15 holds 3 bedroom home or 50-60 boxes, and 10x20 holds 4 bedroom home or 80+ boxes. We can visit your home to provide accurate sizing recommendations. It's usually better to get a slightly larger unit for comfortable access rather than cramming everything in.
You can access your unit during facility hours, typically 6am-10pm, 7 days a week including holidays. Some locations offer 24/7 access for premium units. Your unique access code works anytime during open hours. There's no appointment needed and no limit on how often you access your unit. Many customers access units weekly or monthly to retrieve seasonal items or rotate inventory. For security, all access is logged electronically.
Storage insurance is highly recommended and often required by facilities. Your homeowner's or renter's insurance may cover stored items, but many policies have limitations or exclude storage. We offer affordable storage insurance starting at $10-20 per month for basic coverage. This covers damage from fire, theft, water damage, and other risks. For high-value items, you may want additional specialized coverage. Check with your insurance agent to understand what coverage you have and what additional protection you need.
